Feedback incorporation:

  • Carolyn's feedback has been incorporated. New penpot file has been uploaded in the same link.
  • Updates for the documentation/tutorial has been done according to the feedback received.

Event Timeline

Hi @One1cosmo thank you so much for your submission. I was able to access your documentation on Notion, but I did not see a tutorial that outlined your process included as requested in the original task:

Based on your experiences translating the InfoChip component from Figma to Penpot, please create a tutorial that could help others to build existing Codex components (from Figma) in Penpot. Please feel free to use images, video, or any other tools, the goal of this tutorial is to make it possible for someone to do this task without additional 'hands-on' assistance.

Please be sure to share any insights you had from the transfer process (notable differences between Penpot and Figma, tips and tricks you learned, approaches you tried, etc).

Is there a different file I should look at?

Additionally I saw a few discrepancies in your Penpot file:

Screenshot 2024-10-24 at 4.19.47 PM.png (162×416 px, 11 KB)

  • The padding appears to be smaller below the icon than above the icon
  • You utilized a different text color for the labels than as documented in Codex

Additional mentors may provide feedback to you in the coming days.

Thank you!

Hi @cmadeo,

Thanks for the feedback.

Did you happen to check "How to Create a Reusable InfoChip Component in Penpot?" over here in this hyperlink?

Thank you @One1cosmo I missed those links on first review. Your documentation is very nicely presented, but I'm curious if you could provide more granularity, eg. if I had never created a typography style before in Penpot, how would you instruct me to do so? Thank you!

@cmadeo

Alright. Will work on these part. Thanks for letting me know.

Thank you for your task. An intern has been selected for this project, so I am closing this ticket as 'resolved' as the application period has concluded.
