A massmessage list for initial announcements (and for newsletter delivery later) is being built at https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/VisualEditor/Newsletter/Phase_6_wikis .
Those wikis, + the ambassadors, received a first request to test VE with their IMEs (example - IME testing page at mediawiki.org).
See updates at https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T93387 , based on Amir's work at https://www.mediawiki.org/w/index.php?title=VisualEditor%2FRollouts&type=revision&diff=1923628&oldid=1918336 .
As for other cases, this is actually an effort by multiple people, but I'm working around Phab limitations.
Quim, we expect to be done with the entire Phase 6.1 project by mid-quarter. We are hoping to send a message to each of these communities today, as soon as we check a few important details (including the tentative date).
The rest of Phase 6 ("6.2", if you want to call it that) is not scheduled. It is blocked by technical issues.
I'm now busy with tasks such as updating https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/VisualEditor/Newsletter/Phase_6_wikis, prepping for further messaging.
We just messaged the wikis at https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/VisualEditor/Newsletter/Phase_6_wikis to inform them that the visual editor will reach them at some point (example).
I regularly check those 49 wikis for reactions, BTW. I'm actively engaged in related conversations on a few of those ATM.
Yet another reminder that VE is coming was sent to the 49 Phase 6 wikis (based on whether they had good progress in translations or not).
We're focusing on other deployments - but may send stuff to translate related to Phase 6 at some point this month.
