If not, what are the names for "user" and "user talk" for women?
Hello Amir! The feminine forms are the following:
User: خدايمية
User talk: مداكرة د لخدايميةThanks.
I need to check something, however. The masculine form of "user talk" is "لمداكرة_د_لخدايمي", with the letter ل in the beginning. Maybe the feminine form should be "لمداكرة د لخدايمية"? It's ok if not, of course, I'm just checking.

Hello @Pginer-WMF
Unfortunately, all three examples in the table above are in Standard Arabic with some mistakes.

@Umherirrender
I see your point now. I will need to get concensus on arywiki before I can do a patch of the gender aliases.
Hello @Umherirrender
I'm not sure how this relates to the gender aliases. As I mentioned, the new namespace string works for all user pages, and is displayed for most of them, except some old user accounts.
Gender aliases can certainly be added, but that's another issue.
Maurusian updated the task description for T354006: Some arywiki user pages still display old namespace string.

This sounds like good Idea. But the problem is the video generated will be a summery of article. So audio might not align with video. Currently there is plan to use a speech to text service. Still we can try this thing also.

Maurusian added a comment to T339926: The NLLB-200 MT engine in MinT returns standard Arabic translation instead of Moroccan Darija in Moroccan Arabic Wikipedia.
Hello @Pginer-WMF
I have a question concerning automatically generated titles in the translation tool. Sometimes when I try to translate to ary, a title is filled in the top box, which seems to be AI generated. Which dataset and/or engine is being used for this feature? Because, while the title is always wrong, it is usually wrong in interesting ways. For example, just now I started translating "List of countries' copyright lengths", and it generated the title قَائِمَة دْ الْمُدّة دْيَالْ الْحَقْقْ الْكْتَابْ. I notice here a few things:
- it used the particles دْ and دْيَالْ (both meaning "of") correctly, and these are very endemic to Moroccan Darija (ary)
- it translated "copyright" as الْحَقْقْ الْكْتَابْ, which seems to be from Arabic حقوق الكتاب (literally "book rights") but with shorter vowels. Somehow it learned that many Moroccan Darija words are similar to their Arabic equivalents, but with shorter or silent vowels (الْحَقْقْ is a word that doesn't exist in either Arabic or Darija by the way). The whole expression is also kinda strange, since Arabic uses حقوق النشر (literally "publication right"), so I'm not sure where it got that from.
- it's using diactretics for all words, which is a practice we discourage in arywiki, and I think the same rule is applied in arwiki. The generated title normally should be: قائمة د المدة ديال الحقق الكتاب
- the whole expression, though not grammatically wrong (except الحقق which should be حقوق), is not optimal or idiomatic, probably the equivalent of "list of countries by copyright length" would be better

@Pppery most likely not. The namespace change happened ages ago. There are additional namespaces we would like to adjust (TimedText and Gadget ad co), but they're rarely used, so it's not urgent.

I consulted with some colleague who used the translation tool, and their experience seems equally negative. I hope the tool will be trained on texts from arywiki in the future so it can produce better results.

@jhsoby Thank you very much! It seems to work fine now!
I edited the title and the text to reflect the fact that the templates are broken, not links
Maurusian updated the task description for T336960: Ary Wiktionary Incubator main page has broken templates.
Maurusian renamed T336960: Ary Wiktionary Incubator main page has broken templates from Ary Wiktionary Incubator main page has broken links to Ary Wiktionary Incubator main page has broken templates.

@4nn1l2
At the moment, there's only Wikipedia in Moroccan Darija. Other projects are either in progress in the incubator (Wiktionary) or not planned yet. Regardless, it will most likely be the Wikimedia Morocco User Group that will run them, and their members will be the most active. Thus I would venture to say that the changes in principle should apply to all project, including future ones. However, the vote we made concerned only Wikipedia, and if we want the changes to apply to other projects, we'd have to make another vote.
@4nn1l2 The patch does not involve only changing some names, but also adding two new namespaces Draft and Portal. I think the location is quite appropriate, unless you suggest we split the patch into two patches.

@4nn1l2
Hello. I'd prefer if we do this in a separate patch if possible. The Draft and Portal namespaces are especially needed urgently, since several tasks, currently on hold. are dependent on them.
@4nn1l2
Hello. The patch is already underway, and has passed the Jenkins test (see the link provided by gerritbot above). Hopefully the code review will be done soon as well.
As for your question, yes, the community in arywiki voted to switch to Moroccan Darija names for namespaces, instead of MSA ones, for most namespaces. The link to the vote can be found in the opening post. Older names, as well as English names of namespaces, should be kept as aliases.
The word خدايمي is in the masculine form. The feminine form is خدايمية. If it's possible to use one or the other depending on the gender entered by the user, that would be great. The masculine form can be used as default. This is however not part of this patch.

@Aklapper @Peachey88
Can somebody run the tests on the last patch I pushed for review? This change has taken way longer than it should. If one of the tests fails, please let me know what I should fix. If I have to do the changes one namespace at a time to let it all pass, I'll do it.

Thanks for the links. If you can manage to do the change within the next few days, that would be great. If not, I might give it a try myself as you suggested. Here's a minor correction for the User and User Talk namespaces, which should also have the feminine form (masculine, and genderless, form is already listed in the table):
