> workflow graphic
I agree with María that there are some improvements to me made if this graphic will be used for educational purposes.
Sandra and I talked about it yesterday, too. First, it needs to be clear who this is for and what they should get out of it.
I am definitely up for reworking it in the fall, if Sandra is not using the graphic with a wide audience at the moment.
This sounds great, @SandraF_WMF! Thank you for the summary! I am really looking forward to working further on the documentation and on the video later this year!
Jun 12 2019
Hi @JLetangWMF, yes I think I can deliver a new draft (with the suggested changes) on Friday.
Jun 11 2019
Thanks for the feedback! How about this?
I shortened the text slightly. I think this last one is my favorite.
Jun 10 2019
Hi, so originally I set the deadline for today.
Do you have some flexibility for the launch/sharing date of this?
Discussed with Dana and Alex that we will reconnect end of June to figure out dates in July to work on a visuals for the framework.
We believe that something interactive might serve the purpose of the framework.
Jun 7 2019
Hey there, I made two drafts:
Thank you so much, Andre!
Jun 6 2019
Hi! Thank you for all the input! It definitely helps!
Hi there!
Here is a first draft! I am still working on the iconography and colors, but overall I think the layout works like this - at least I hope so.
It might be a bit crowded/busy, so any text that we can shorten would be great! Or if you for example think that the funded people don't need to be this highlighted as much, I could change that. Same goes for any content that you think should be more or less emphasized.

Hi @Aklapper thank you very much for all of this!
You can actually remove me as a subscriber from the Comms request form (form 64).
Thank you, María for the document link, Sandra gave me the heads up already.

May 30 2019
María and I just worked out this text for a graphic.
May 29 2019
Thank you @Aklapper for the heads up.
For the Phab Herald rule, should I simply create a task in Phabricator?
@mcruzWMF, would you like to be included / to have the rule be set up for Community Comms requests as well?
Hi @mcruzWMF!
- I've got a question from someone, if they could print the poster themselves and bring it to the conference if they can't meet the deadline?
- I will probably receive submissions now. Is there anything I should immediately do? I think it makes more sense to wait for the deadline to pass and then review all posters at once.
Hey @mcruzWMF I see, so your goal is really to have people sign up for the ToT n Stockholm.
May 28 2019
Thank you for that link! There is a lot of information.
Do you (@mcruzWMF?) have more specifics about the video and what to include? Again, I am not so sure if we can meet the deadline.
May 24 2019
Hi Rachel!
I have uploaded your sketches here. You can always find this icon here in Phabricator to any supporting media files, in the same tool bar where you can find .
This is great! I have consolidated your template answers and the original task descriptions and updated the task description.
Sounds good then. Please send me the invites to the meetings when you are ready and I'll come prepared by reading the documents!
@MGuadalupeWMF the best way to move forward and to consolidate all information needed by both of us and have it in a central place, would be to go to this form, answer the questions, it includes the questions Nichole already answered and my follow-up questions. Then copy the text/code and over here click on "Edit Task" at the top right and replace (paste) the task description.
In T223102#5207629, @Aklapper wrote:Seeing https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T224173 you may also make the template explicitly say that it shall include a link to more information?
May 23 2019
Ok, cool! I reached to her via email.
Hi Dana, thank you for reaching out!
This is sounds interesting, although a little bit vague, because I am not very familiar with the topic. Do you have more high level information about this framework? I would love to learn more about it to understand what a visual for a framework would entail.
For Community Relations Design requests, we have created this set of questions (still in development) – just for your information now, so you get the idea of what information would be great to have eventually.
Hi, do you have more details about the video you want to create?
If the launch date for this video is June 3, I think realistically I can only help out for a few hours next week (I am off May 27, Monday). It would depend on the kind of video to know if that is enough. Looking forward to hear more!
May 21 2019
I can confirm, I see the same as María.
I think this is done for now.
If you have questions, feel free to ask me or if you want to request changes, just reopen the task.
Thank you!
Thank you for sharing, Andre!

Oh cool!
I think, in an effort to direct attention for the requester:
- we could hide the Status, Priority, Assigned To and Story Points fields, because we would take care of that
- is it possible to expand the description field, so the whole content is visible. So then you just scroll the whole page instead of having two scrollable areas (the description field and the page to e.g. see the preview).
Sure! Feel free to upload on commons!
Oh, or you want me to upload it?
Hi! Thanks for all the feedback! @Quiddity, I used that tool, it's great!
I updated the pdf, because the source links for #2 - #7 were wrong.
Just fyi, I haven't mentioned. The one file includes both formats A4 (pages 1-53) and A5 (pages 54-106).

Hi Sherry, we didn't set a deadline, but I think I gave all the feedback you requested. Do you need more support or can I resolve this task?
Support not needed anymore.
I have asked around a little bit and the preview of the SVG might have that issue because of this bug: T36947: Incorrect text positioning in SVG rasterization (scale/transform; font-size; kerning)
Cool!
Please see this folder for the latest draft, it includes A4 and A5 format for the table signs
Let me know if you need any changes!
May 9 2019
Sounds good! I will get to it tomorrow afternoon!
Do you want two versions - one with a bigger photo and one with the size I have now, or is one version with a bigger photo enough?
@Aklapper, I added a link to create a task request with the pre-filled questions.
May 8 2019
May 7 2019
Ok, actually changed the permission, so anyone with the link can view the files.
May 6 2019
Hi Rachel! Here is a draft, I kept it simple, so you can basically print it with any color printer.
The idea is that the number at the top and the headline/title each team will add at the top should be the main focus of attention, the bottom is just for fun. Let me know what you think!

Apr 29 2019
Oh great!
Well, I am happy when you are happy! Feel free to close the task :)
Ok! Totally fine with me. Feel free to then delete the slide that you don't need anymore.
I've done a video recording of how you can edit the slide according to you stats.

Cool! I replaces the the baby and wizard!
I uploaded the SVG version here: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Navigating_a_Wikimedia_Hackathon_Flowchart.svg
Though the thumbnail looks fine, and the actual file is fine, when you click on it (https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/7/74/Navigating_a_Wikimedia_Hackathon_Flowchart.svg), for some reason the headline on the big preview on the file page looks off.
Hi María, I am thinking we could suggest people who will send me the PDFs to use a certain "tag" for the subject line of their email.
Something like [Poster session 2019], so it's streamlined, and I could filter them later on :)
Apr 24 2019
Alright! I'll give you an SVG. At least I think I can.
