Move reportcard to dashiki and new datasources
Closed, ResolvedPublic1 Estimated Story Points

Description

Reportcard: http://reportcard.wmflabs.org/

New one should be not in labs: http://analytics.wikimedia.org/dashboards/reportcard

This seems real similar to vital signs plus historical pageviews. We need to define whether this exists alongside vital-signs or it replaces it.
This task depends on state of edit data reconstruction, if available we can get metrics from there.

There are two things to do here:

  • moving reportcard off limn
  • removing datasources that are manually calculated

Event Timeline

I was under the impression that it is still being updated by @Milimetric and @ezachte, just perhaps with a bit of delay (see also T116244).

To the perspective of the general public, the report card is at the moment still presented as a central place of core metrics (e.g. apart from Wikistats it is also linked from https://wikimediafoundation.org/wiki/Home which gets a lot of traffic). Which is another argument for not showcasing outdated metric choices there, but it also raises the question where we should direct that public attention instead.

Milimetric triaged this task as Medium priority.Mar 21 2016, 4:13 PM

  • Set up a redirect from old report card to new domain http://analytics.wikimedia.org/reportcard/ which points to the tabs layout
  • Content it needs to include: Pageviews overall, unique devices, Active Editors (for top projects)

There might be issues with joining two datasets for pageviews.

Nuria set the point value for this task to 13.
