Description

Two recently uploaded files have disappeared (404).

In both cases, the original file is inaccessible, and no thumbnails display. (Note that the second file has been re-uploaded afterwards, but the first version seen in file history is still broken.)

(possible data loss = UBN)

From @fgiunchedi on the ops list:

The only correlation I can spot from a quick look is both were uploaded via
flickr2commons, maybe related?

(As this is still UBN!)

Any new reports of this?

Nothing on the linked Commons page.

I took a look at the time but forgot to update this task: I couldn't find anything obvious in swift (not even the images themselves) so it might be that the images didn't make it that far. It is possible (but unlikely, both uploads are back in June and thus more than 90d ago) that we'd still have mediawiki logs for those uploads.

@greg since there haven't been new reports I think we can downgrade to prio normal (?)

ok to close this task? I don't think this is reproducible anymore, and eventually will be fixed once the epic T160229 is completed.

No reply, so I'm boldly closing this. Anyone feel free to reopen if they disagree (and include reasons). Thanks.
