What's next for Audio and Video ?
Closed, DuplicatePublic

Description

Type of activity: Unconference
Main topic: Future improvements for Audio and Video playback, ingestion and sharing

The problem

Over the past two years we have made a few desperately needed changes to audio and video playback, to bring it closer to HTML5 a/v, to support Parsoid and VisualEditor etc.

Expected outcome

Clarity on what might be feasible to work on the coming year, what we might want to accelerate vs. put on the backburner, and to gather new/fresh ideas.

Event Timeline

This might be appropriate as a scheduled session for the "wiki content beyond plaintext" topic.

@TheDJ Hey! As developer summit is less than four weeks from now, we are working on a plan to incorporate the ‘unconference sessions’ that have been proposed so far and would be generated on the spot. Thus, could you confirm if you plan to facilitate this session at the summit? Also, if your answer is 'YES,' I would like to encourage you to update/ arrange the task description fields to appear in the following format:
