This is a known issue that came up in the discussion. This is on the agenda to be fixed at a later point in time, please don't let this be an inhibitor in disabling MFSpecialCaseMainPage as it is a superficial issue and anything is better than what we have currently.

These concerns have now been addressed.

Added to the task description a reference to https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Meta:Requests_for_comment/Mobile_web_version_of_the_Meta_main_page, which I started without knowing that someone else was working on the same issue.
