CentralNotice extension should have a calendar
Open, LowPublicFeature

Description

The clever people at Meta-Wiki have started using a calendar for CentralNotice banners and campaigns: https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/CentralNotice/Calendar.

A calendar feature should be built in to the CentralNotice extension rather than using a wiki page. Benefits include:

  • easier input/output
  • pagination
  • &c.

Severity: enhancement

There's a jQuery one that isn't too bad... IIRC

Sounds like a good idea. Marking lowest priority since we already have a working solution in the meantime.

I'd like to flag this up again and bump up the priority. Requesting and viewing existing and planned campaigns should be possible from the central notice interface. https://github.com/improper/mediawiki-extensions-yasec is pretty good example within mediawiki

FYI: T1035: Consolidate the many tech events calendars in Phabricator's calendar

I'm not sure how related that task & discussion is, but just in case someone didn't know about it...
