Some tables are completely or largely created from templates, such as https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Don't_Worry,_Be_Happy#Charts (see T70306) and https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=The_Vampire_Diaries_(season_6)#Episodes
It should be possible to select and edit the underlying templates.

I do have blue shields for Episode list rows now, but I can't edit them, nor do i have the green alienated shield to indicate that I can't edit them.
When adding template with style informations (class and style attributes), wikitext is displayed instead of parsed content.
You can try with {{yes}} which exist on en.wp and fr.wp.
