Just checking: Is this the step which will make the link New messages (none) to be removed from the personal links at the top of the pages?
Ping. Is it supposed to still allow creation of LQT topics? E.g.: https://pt.wikibooks.org/wiki/Discuss%C3%A3o:Alfabeto_dos_animais/T114278 still shows the link to "Start a new discussion" in LQT format.
Yes. The conversion is not 100% done yet, but we have not forgotten about this issue.
Is the conversion still running or can we remove that link "New messages (none)" already?
Is it still running after six months? Is it blocked by something?
We really don't want to have people creating topics using BOTH extensions on ptwikibooks...

Sorry for the delay. We are actively working on it, e.g. https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/#/c/273903/ .
@Mattflaschen-WMF: What is blocking this?
jmatazzoni moved this task from Untriaged to Blocked on the Collaboration-Team-Triage (Collab-Team-Q3-Jan-Mar-2017) board.
Allocating time to do it. Which is going to be difficult to do, I think, given the Growth-Team which inherited this task from the disbanded Collaboration-Team-Triage has no experience/expertise in this extension. LiquidThreads is listed on https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Developers/Maintainers as being without a maintainer, so probably a next step is to try to go through the code stewardship process https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Code_Stewardship
Could you please clarify what is meant by the title of this task "Freeze LQT"? Leave it enabled, but don't allow any new posts, so it's in read-only mode?

I believe the initial plan was to first finish the task T113682: Finish conversion from LQT to Flow on pt.wikibooks and then that would allow archiving the old LiquidThreads topics by leaving them read-only (current task).
