Experiment: homepage content suggestions in the KaiOS app
Open, MediumPublic

Description

Currently, user engagement with the KaiOS app is quite low. We will run an experiment to understand whether providing content recommendations on the app homepage leads to increased engagement.

There will be three groups with different homepage variants:

  • Control: Standard homepage, with search bar only
  • Popular articles: Feed of recent most-read articles in India, in addition to the search bar
  • Curated topics: A rotating set of manually curated topic recommendations.

More details in the experiment plan [WMF only].
