@Stegmujo thank you for rebasing. This job is now completed. What do you think? Do you see yourself in a position to work from this WIP into something that can be committed, or do you have the feeling that it would be better to abandon the change?

As discussed today, we set this task aside and aim for T302628 instead which would make this refactoring superfluous.
