Change recurring rebilling logic from 'monthly' to 'on demand' in India through Dlocal
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

We have received advice from Dlocal & PayTM that we should be using the 'on demand' recurring rebill logic vs the 'monthly' logic we have currently deployed. This is in order to avoid rejects around billing scenarios that forces the 'monthly' rebill logic to rebill in the same month.

I am scheduling another pretest in order for us to trial the 'on demand' logic to get insight from donors on what reaction 'on demand' (which will be visible) may cause with our donors to assess this migration before we adopt it.

The action for this task is to switch out 'monthly' to 'on demand' logic in order to prepare for this test.

Thank you.

Event Timeline

Status record keeping (copy/paste from slack discussion):

Given the lateness in Greece we don't want to do the config change now on Friday so we'll plan to do that on Monday. Additionally, the config change will only affect new recurring transactions, not ones already created, so there won't be a huge positive impact in the near future.

OK, we have changed it back to on-demand.

Thank you. We are in the process of scheduling a pre-test to see any impacts on this prior to the campaign launch.

Thanks @EMartin, the pre-test for this has been scheduled in asana, running @ 25% traffic from 10 UTC on June 13 - 10 UTC on June 14.
