Thanks @Ejegg! Still one optimization that should happen: it's currently possible to submit the form without a valid email address, or with no data in the email input field at all. That causes a redirect to an error page that doesn't include any link to return to the repermissioning page.

Thanks for alerting us to this issue, @MBeat33! We talked about it on our banner call today and @Pcoombe pointed out that there are two pieces to this initial comment: our pay-the-fee suggestion, as well as the 'upsell logic' that dictates how much we ask in terms of monthly donation.

For sure @DStrine ! I think I used confusing language in my initial task; we won't be putting any new fields in the banner, just running a test w/ one banner pointing to the standard payments wiki form vs one pointing to this employer field variant.

@DStrine, @Ejegg : here's a doc containing mockups for the recurring upsell. You'll see that it's styled to look like an overlay on top of the payments wiki page thru which the donor has just submitted their one-time gift.

In our current best in-banner upsell variant, we include the option for the donor to manually input their monthly donation amount on the upsell step. To see the upsell content, select an amount and method in the form and click Continue.

Agree with @CCogdill_WMF that it's not a blocker to have to bounce users back to paypal. Our donors show a lot of resilience re: navigating complicated forms, particularly when it's necessary, and if a donor is making the decision to respond to this upsell, I think they'll be inclined to complete the task.

@Anomie, @aaron, @Imarlier and @AndyRussG - save time for banners has plummeted in the last couple weeks and it's amazing. I'm going from an average of 30 seconds - 1 minute to clone or save changes, down to more like 5 seconds. It noticeably improves my ability to complete tasks, as the old delay fostered ineffective multitasking.

- Right, we can't inject banners to portal via centralnotice; it's not running mediawiki. There isn't an existing a/b testing framework, but @Jdrewniak has set up workarounds in the past, so testing variants might be an option.
- Right, it's responsive! Phuedx will send over the typical breakpoints for MinervaNeue
- Phuedx reviewed your design concepts and said they all seem reasonable and possible. It'd be helpful if (when we're ready) you can implement and Jdrewniak can code review.

Reporting that I'm also seeing noticeably slower save times when editing banners in CN, even if I'm just changing Display to or Display on settings. Changes to those toggles have typically saved within a couple seconds, and I'm now seeing upwards of 20 seconds to save.

Thank you @Ejegg, really awesome that you got all the non-recurring. Just about doubled the donation counts in our 10/24 tests. If 1000 affected donations is the threshold that normally triggers a followup from us, 91 recurring signups is well below that. But I'll touch bases with CCogdill.

@MBeat33 and @CCogdill_WMF, I'd think there are well over 1k donors affected ... we're averaging over 70% paypal conversion in this FY's en6C desktop testing, so 8,000 clicks would well exceed 1k donations.

Still slow for me too, though today I'm seeing save times of more like 10 seconds vs. the original upper limit of 30 that prompted this task. That's for a variety of actions: creating a new banner, cloning from an existing banner, as well as saving revisions to existing banners.
