@HNordeenWMF We are sending Japan email donors to the existing control payments form--Sam wants to test more V1 when it's time for banners (get more input on V1) and, if V2 is ready during banners, test that one then too. I think email content is just controls, but Sam let us know if I got anything wrong here ...

Oh thank you both, this makes sense. I'll note this info in case Amy's team ever wants to expand into other languages. You're totally right about these being English & mostly US! And yes Elliott, it's odd about the {$index} but fine for now :)
Just one thing I noticed; it doesn't work in non-English languages, but if this is something we can edit in the Civi template, @Cstone could you let us know what the change was, and we'll do so across the different language templates? Many thanks again for the speedy help with this!

No, so the problem here is that the "Test Thank-you letters" feature (left sidebar) isn't working. So like, when we want to send ourselves a test TY email, it doesn't match what's in the template.
Just to make sure we're all on the same page: The version you see if you send a test email is different than the version in the html preview window, in Civi, right?

I get some that go through as well. But the frustrating thing is that this was happening to donors 25% of the time, so when we see one go through, we can't conclude the issue is resolved, no?
Yes, tried Incognito and using the banner w/o the variant. I'm going to give it a little rest time & try again soon.

Thanks @SHust, I read through the tickets and am pondering if anything is wrong. A few said they accidentally hit donate twice. One said they got 2 emails (which is correct, if they signed up for monthly convert).

@DStrine I think we can close b/c, as you said, "we don't have the ability to split who the email comes from based on language.' We might ask separately to investigate how hard it would be to build, but it's not high priority right now.

Thanks Peter! Confirming for the team that, while we have vetted, internally, the Adyen/post-payment monthly convert through banners, we haven't run a test at scale yet. We decided to wait until the banner campaign to test at scale.
