As part of the work on the MinT for Wikipedia Readers MVP (T359072), machine translated versions of a wiki page are shown at the Translation view (T359801). This view includes an option to "Review the automatic translation" and a "Correct the translation" menu option (T359829) which will show an explanatory dialog (T364129) and provide access to a translation tool for users to write a better translation.

The initial focus of MinT for Wikipedia Readers is to be used with Wikipedia articles. So the "Review the automatic translation" option will provide access to Content Translation. However, as we consider other wikis such as Meta (T363470) we may need to support a more flexible approach.
On Meta the Translate Extension could be used to write translations instead of Content Translation. Also, there may be some wikis where there is no tool available.

This ticket proposes to make the destination that the user accesses after taping on the options to review the translation and the follow-up dialog (T364129) to be configurable per wiki. In this way, users can access Content Translation on wikipedia, and the Translate extension on Meta. In both cases, the user should land to the tool with the information pre-filled for translating the contents they were viewing into the selected languages.

Additional considerations:

• If the particular wiki does not have a tool for human-made translations, the "Review the automatic translation" will shown as a label instead of an action, and the menu (T359829) will not show the "Correct the translation" option.
• We may need to refine this approach further, since a given wiki (e.g., Wikipedia) may contain namespaces such as "Talk:" where we may want to apply MinT but unlike their main namespace there is no tool available for human-made translations of talk page conversations. We can consider namespace-specific adjustments as part of this task, or a s a follow-up ticket.
