We are missing more Google Summer of Code and FOSS Outreach Program for Women candidates in... Russia!
See T925: Connect Wikimedia groups, Google Developer Groups, and computer science university departments for the general plan, which should inspire each local community to recruit candidates in their area.
This task needs local drivers. The #Engineering-Community team and others can help from a distance, but without a local promoter taking this task, this won't work.

I am going to put the issue to Vladimir and Stanislav from WMRS next week, touching base in January.
We had an interesting conversation with Wikimedia Russia, but no concrete results that I'm aware of. GSoC and Outreachy are well underway now. Closing this task as Declined. There is still time to work on the next rounds. :)
