After a discussion Russian Wikipedia users at https://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/Википедия:Форум/Предложения#Промежуточный_итог have decided to turn off the pop-up that promotes the ContentTranslation tool (which is effectively an advertisement of this tool) for users who haven’t opted in due to the excessive amount of low-quality translations generated by unexperienced users.
Please turn off the ContentTranslation pop-up for users who haven’t turned this beta-tool on.

The main problem with this pop-up is that it is not a one-time thing, it's being shown to users again and again.
Users have been complaining about this nuisance also on fi-wiki. Has the issue been addressed in any way by now?
