Description

WikiEditor pushes your wikitext to https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/API:Stashedit once you focus the edit summary, and VE already has code in ArticleTarget to do something similar in visual mode when the save dialog is opened..

This should make saves appear to happen much faster, especially on long pages.

Can someone please prioritize this? This basically means that very few people are using edit stashing on enwiki, which has this editor as the default. That seems like a pretty bad regression from the regular editor being the default.

No wiki has this wiki as the default. It's a beta feature.

Yeah, as James says this is a beta feature so only represents a small proportion of edits. As a result we don't plan on prioritising this for now, unless you have some other information on the impact?
