Growth team: translate and classify help desk interactions in Czech and Korean wikis
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

The mission of the WMF Audiences Department's Growth team is to increase the retention of new editors in mid-size Wikipedias. Because of the New Editor Experiences research done in Czech and Korean wikis, those two wikis will be the main places where the Growth team will deploy and observe new functionality built to increase retention.

The objective here is help the members of the Growth team get a sense of what types of questions are most commonly asked by new editors in Czech and Korean wikis. Therefore, the task, for both Korean and Czech wikis, is to:

  • Translate the 20 most recent questions and answers at the help desk.
  • For askers who are registered users, include the number of edits that asker has and the length of time that asker has been registered.
  • Include any notes on whether the translated question is common or uncommon.

Target date for this task is 2018-07-13.
