Enable Citoid on Pap.wikipedia.org
Open, Needs TriagePublic

Description

We are currently working on improving the set-up of papiamentu wikipedia. At pap.wikipedia.org citoid hasn't been enabled so it is rather hard to insert citations in a wiki-page. Can someone help with enabling Citoid? https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Citoid/Enabling_Citoid_on_your_wiki

@Reedy Could you help me finding a useful project that could help me resolve this task?

@DanielleJWiki Hi Danielle, I think this is basically self-serve feature, isn't it? You just need to create something like https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Citoid-template-type-map.json, which contains citation templates that should be used for each type of work. You need to also add templatedata to all templates you want to use, as well as to add citoid map, so citoid knows which parameter is which. An example can be found in Template:Cite journal's templatedata at English Wikipedia (open its documentation and search for citoid). Hope this helpes!

If you tell me which templates are to be used for what, I'm happy to do this one. But since I'm unable to speak/read the language, it's really hard for me to find the templates myself.

It looks like they have some of the same ones from en Wiki: Template:Citation, Template:Cite web, Template:Cite book, Template:Cite news... but no Template:Cite journal. There's also no template data, so essentially it'd have to be enabled in English if done as-is!

@DanielleJWiki is there anyone you know of we should contact at pap wiki that could help with translation of some of these things? Can you translate?
