Context
Mismatch Finder is a tool that displays data in Wikidata that differs from the data in another database, catalog or website. It allows users detecting mismatches and reporting their status and/or fixing them.
The tool was built as a single page application using UI components and styling tokens from the WiKit design system. WiKit is in the process of being deprecated in favor of Codex, the new Wikimedia design system.
Main objective
Migrate Mismatch Finder to Codex. This involves:
- Replacing the components used in Mismatch Finder's UI 1:1, making sure that all functionality is preserved
- Replacing current styling using Codex style tokens and mixins
- Ensure that usability, internationalization and accessibility are not negatively impacted by the migration
Considerations
The Mismatch Store (the back-office of the Mismatch Finder tool, where CSV uploads with mismatches are managed) wasn't built using WiKit, so it's not in scope for this migration.
