Until wikitext support is improved (T347018), the markup of some translations will get in the way of the translation, producing suboptimal results. This kind of issues has been reported by editors on Meta due to low quality suggestions from MinT.
Note that suggestions are provided on the side panel (at the right in the image below) and shown at the very end of the suggestion sections after the suggestions from translation memory (based on previous translations by other editors):
This ticket proposes to identify source messages with a high presence of wikitext (or presence of particularly problematic wikitext) that is expected to resultin a bad translation, and do not show suggestions from MinT in such case.
In this way, users can still access to useful MinT results, while the less distracting ones are not adding adding additional distraction at the end of the suggestion list.
