Steps to reproduce:

1.Open the page with VE
2.Add a text with reference
3.Add an image
4.Go to Media Settings for the image
5.Go to Insert>Reference

Observed Result:
Observe that, the "Use an existing reference " button remains disabled even if there is a reference added in the page

Looks like we aren't copying over the internalList object from the parent dm document.

This is blocked by bug 47344, the infamous sub-documents bug.

This specific problem doesn't happen any more, although there is some really weird UI stuff going on...

Actually this issue is still happening. It was about "Use an existing reference" button inside Media Settings>Cite> Basic reference dialog remaining disabled.
