The Bing Translator could be considered for integration in content Translation. It may not expand the number of languages supported, but may provide better quality for some based on input so far. We want to keep track of the new languages that can get coverage, as well as content quality for existing languages:

Based on the analysis in T304865#8690534, Bing Translate would be a useful option for Yue/Cantonese Wikipedia since it uses the Yue-Kouyu variant. Other services do not support the specific language variant used on Yue Wikipedia.

We want to keep expanding the machine translation services available in Content Translaiton and Bing is a very interesting option given the feedback received form the communities listed above (Odia, Bangla, and Yue). However, the integration of external services depends on other organizations, so it is not possible for us to provide a timeline.
Recent support for additional translation models using MinT provides new alternatives fro these languages, being part of an open ecosystem that allows to contribute to improve their quality over time.
