Per "Additional namespaces" field of request template in that page, please create these namespaces:

Portal
School
Topic
Portal_talk
School_talk
Topic_talk

The actual namespaces should keep in English, as we need to define translations of them elsewhere (@RazeSoldier is that wikiversity_family.py?)

Shouldn't these custom namespaces be defined in mediawiki-config/wmf-config/InitialiseSettings.php?

In fact we can define translations in MediaWiki:Conversion-ns<namespace ID> and its subpages, like: zhwiki.

I haven't been following this task closely, but note that T185799, which was opened prematurely (in January) by @Assoc and just closed by @Liuxinyu970226 as a duplicate of this one, contained the following items in its description that aren't in (or are not the same in) this task:

So, talk amongst yourselves and decide what, if anything, needs to be done about that.

@Urbanecm are you going to create the additional namespaces now (per T199577#4424860 and T199577#4424969)? The imported content contains several pages that are supposed to be in other namespaces but ended up in the mainspace because their namespaces weren't defined yet.

Also, note T201353: Run initSiteStats.php on zhwikiversity after creation of new namespaces, which I guess should be done after the pages actually get into the right namespaces? (I don't know if it matters.)
