CX - Multiple problems with span tags

Description

In this edit, CX made multiple mistakes regarding span tags:

  • <span class="citation web" contenteditable="false"> around URL
  • <span class="reference-accessdate">. </span>
  • span tag inside an other span tag
  • span tags around normal text <span> at National-Football-Teams.com</span>

Same request as usual : please deactivate CX until all the bugs that damage articles are fixed, production wikis are not a testing playground

This is essentially about reference template adaptation, which we are fixing at the moment as part of a larger effort in T132871 and other related tasks.
