Thank you for the additional details.
So, to me this sounds more like an icon and a little bit less like a logo (but definitely not a clear distinction). I am only saying this because when designing this, I want to keep in mind that it should be somewhat recognizable even when it's displayed quite small.
I tried to follow this guide as muss as possible: https://design.wikimedia.org/style-guide/visual-style_icons.html
At the same time with the owl logo there is also something that established that I don't want to break with so much.

Stickers were printed through laser-line.de (umweltfreundliche/environmentally friendly stickers) and shipped to Stockholm:
The above files were sent and they did a file check and actually changed something.
Heya!
I have recently made the transition to be more focused on Space and so my support tasks should in service of Wikimedia Space.
If you are definitely creating a blog post around and with this graphic, then I think I will be available to support your request - this assumes that you will have all your content ready for me to translate into visuals.
As you have maybe seen with T224271: Visualization of Technical Events Ecosystem around Wikimania or T219547: Wikimedia Hackathon 2019: Design a flowchart , sometimes a rough sketch can really help speed things up and more importantly get you to something that is useful for you.
Regarding to this task I have only changed the appearance of: Comments? Questions? Discuss this post, with making "Discuss this post" a prominent blue button.
Yes!
We changed the home page to have:
- basic descriptions of what Blog and Discuss are
- 3 action buttons to invite people to actually do something in Space
- a few recent blog posts and a few recent discussions
Overall there is a lot of white space and it's more colorful than other pages to appear friendly and inviting.
Design wise it also establishes green (#00af89) as the main Space color.
The changes were made to also work well on mobile.
Ok, I uploaded the new versions.
Can you let me know when you expect to design the certificates?
In the process of designing a presentation for the Chief of CE, I made a first draft visual for the framework in August.

Heya, keeping this open to make the changes once I have more time :)
Let me know if you think of other improvements we can make.
Aug 22 2019
Thank you, I definitely did! I hope, you did, as well.
Aug 13 2019
@Johan, requested some minor changes. Here they are :)
Aug 12 2019
Heya, here is the new version with the changes in A3 format.
Let me know if you see anything that is not right - if it's a minor change, I can make them immediately.

Awesome! Thanks for the feedback! Really glad to hear that you like the poster (inspired by brutalist design).
Will make the changes on Monday (CET), is that ok?

Great to hear about the brighter purple! Once the poster is final, I will also go ahead and change that color on the Meta page.
So, here's the first draft!
Let me know what you feel can be improved! I was going for something more catchy,
Also what is a common size this will be printed at? That would determine the size of the paragraph texts.

Hi @Saileshpat!
Thank you for this request!
I am not able to take a new task before Wikimania, so I could start after (August 20).
If this has very high priority then, we should discuss! At the moment my focus is on Movement Organizers Research Report, a board presentation, and CE annual plan presentation and Wikimedia Space design.
Let me know if after Wikimania works, as well.
Hi @Samwalton9!
Thank you for this request!
I am not able to take a new task before Wikimania, so I could start after (August 20). If it's really just a logo that you need, then I think we will still have enough time for a tentative deadline of early September.
If this is ok with with you, I will reach out to you on August 20 for any further details I might need.

Re: bright blue - that makes a lot of sense, Nick!
Now is the perfect time!
Very late comment: Thank you @Quiddity!
Obviously, I missed my own set deadline. I hope to get a first draft latest by Friday.
I will close this for now - but feel free to reopen or like discussed open a new task for us to expand on this work!
Looking forward to it!

@LMiranda and @Sadads
Update:
I am familiarizing myself with the report document.
I have received (as far as I can see) all the materials to update the graphics on the specific pages that we talked about.
I am aware that some of these graphics have a relationship to the persona pages that I will work on later.
I will track more specific updates in the Google doc for this task.
Hi Sandra!

@mcruzWMF
Good points! I agree, if the space.wmflabs.org will not redirect to the new URL then it would not make sense to include it.
Jul 10 2019
I think it looks nice! Would links be just the standard blue without underline?
Jul 9 2019
I am exciting about this and have a lot of questions - so many ways to go about this.
But I want to get a sense when would we want this done by?
Jul 8 2019
Great, I think I have a better understanding now of the overall help you need from me.
Looking forward to discussing the specifics :)
Heya, I like solving mysteries! Thanks Quim for that link, I do think it could be related.
So, I tested different origins for going to the Guidelines and going from Map and Calendar causes the same problem, when you look in the Chrome console you can see the URL: https://discuss-space.wmflabs.org/c/events/l/guidelines.html?_=1562605876124
so it's trying to find the guidelines within events ...org/c/events/l/guidelines instead of **...org/guidelines.

Hi @SandraF_WMF , just an update I am a bit behind with the deadline I set of myself, but I am confident to have everything ready by next week.
Make a few comments appear after each entry (which would make the page longer and break up the "news"
Maybe instead of showing the actual comments, just make the number of comments more prominent. Right now that is placed above the heading near the date and author (which is easy to ignore), you could move "# comments" to below the text preview of the article.

Cool! I made some very minor tweaks and uploaded the 4 badges to Commons. Took the liberty and added it to the Wikimedia & Education Greenhouse category.
Hi Benoît! Thank you for the task!
I think you gave a lot of detail, so I won't ask you to fill out the CommRel-Resign form, but one thing, when is the deadline (soft or hard)? I saw Friday morning UTC and freaked out a little bit before I realized those are details for the poster.
@NSaad and @MGuadalupeWMF, did you see the recent drafts?
I set the deadline for this for tomorrow. Let me know how to move forward/if anything has changed.
Jun 26 2019
@LMiranda just pinging to see if you have seen the questions above.
It would also be great to see any materials/graphics etc. that you can share in advance, so I have a better overview.
Jun 25 2019
If you have edits to the Technical Events Ecosystem visualization, just reopen the task :)
Ok, thanks again for your ideas!
Here are the new drafts. I am still tweaking some details. Also thinking about getting rid of all the white in the badges... well but I wanted to see what you think about these.
Thank you María and Nichole for all the suggestions! I am incorporating them :)
Jun 24 2019
Hi @NSaad, thank you for your feedback! I think that's all doable!
Jun 21 2019
Great thank you @MGuadalupeWMF!
I uploaded the png and the svg to Commons, they are now here:
https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Visualization_of_Wikimedia_Technical_Events_Ecosystem.png
https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Visualization_of_Wikimedia_Technical_Events_Ecosystem.svg
@mcruzWMF, that's great!
Quick question, would you like have the certificate as landscape or portrait format? Also will it be US letter or A4?
Jun 20 2019
Hi María, I just saw this comment/question about when poster proposals will be approved.
https://wikimania.wikimedia.org/wiki/2019_talk:Poster_session?markasread=2766&markasreadwiki=wikimaniawiki#Acceptance?
Ok, I requested to move the files/rename the files, once that's done I will upload the new version there.
Jun 19 2019
Hi Lauren,
Thank you for filling out the request questions!
Jun 18 2019
Thank you for this! I will try to get drafts by the end of the week! I will update here :)
Now I totally forgot to post this yesterday! I uploaded a png here: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Visualization_of_Wikimania_Technical_Events_Ecosystem.png
Jun 17 2019
Hi!
@Rfarrand, Quim actually pointed out two things that I want to mention:
- there is no mention of a year, to me this was intentional, because it's a system, so it could apply to any year - correct?
- Should it say "Wikimania Technical Events Ecosystem" (Events instead of Event)
Here is the graphic with the changes. Let me know if you see anything else that needs to be corrected.
Jun 14 2019
Hi @MGuadalupeWMF. When you have the time can you share the examples of badges (and maybe certificates) designs that you like as a reference for this task.
I think it will make my work easier (and faster). It also helps to get to know the size of them.
Thank you!
