If the process includes the donor getting the TY email within 30 mins, that's great and should mitigate the extra donations to some (hopefully large) degree.

I was just chatting with @EMartin and there might be one other factor to consider: manually settled GC600s have historically taken much longer to reach Civi than ones settled automatically. Our macro that we send to donors who alert us to GC600s tells them to expect their TY emails in a longer timeframe.
Sep 3 2021
One other process point: sometimes legitimate donors get a status 600 but retry shortly after, and the next attempt succeeds. Can we add logic to scan for recent donations so that we don't inadvertently cause donors to donate twice?

Thank you, @Cstone !

We looked at this one at the last DR-Fr-Tech checkin, and as it seems like this is most likely a Utc date rollover rather than an actionable bug, I'll close this. We can just explain to any donors who notice this that different components of our donation process may occasionally introduce small discrepancies based on time zone.

Thank you, Eileen. I sent a copy of the HE translation to myself, and forwarded it to Tomasz.

Thank you @Eileenmcnaughton and @CDenes_WMF, this is great. I just sent each of these versions to Tomasz, except for Hebrew. I used the Send Myself a Copy option from the Send Failure Notification.

Awesome, many thanks!
Ticket #956448 is in the Triage doc, but it looks like @KHancock99 found it proactively. If the donor in cid=35061300 and all the others did receive the TY email for the one-time donations, it is still really important for Donor Relations agents to know this, because there are a lot of workflows involved in following up with donors around TY emails. We need to know what the donors receive because of the scale of admin work involved in supporting donors in a campaign.

I checked with @SHust and she confirmed that this request is no longer relevant, based on the old dedupe interface as it is, so I'm closing this Task.
Jun 24 2021
Thank you @Ejegg I checked with Evelyn and we think it would be good to clear the others out as well. The status 190s we saw in 2018 did include other currencies and card types. If I can spin that off into a separate Task, please let me know.
I checked in with @CDenes_WMF and we are doing a final coded proofing round. "We will hand off corrections to be implemented by fr-tech after all languages are proofed and corrections have been aggregated." There is one visible [ bracket ] around the monthly giving url that we'll request a fix for at that later stage.

Thank you! Knowing the donors will see the TY page should reduce Zendesk traffic about this.

Sure thing, they're cid=47502739
Thank you @Ejegg this is really great info.

From Donor Relations' side of things, this is a function we never interact with, so I don't have anything to add other than 'thanks, all'

PayPal has begun showing donors the $ total of skipped months as an "outstanding payment due" for these recurring donations which are Canceled in Civi, but remain Active-but-paused at PayPal due to an account issue. Some donors feel weird about this. Just adding this new wrinkle in the response to recurring donors, in the hope that during the reintegration with PayPal we can clarify this process/test it.
Some more:

Is the takeaway from the discussion of this at the meeting the week before last that no one is able to locate this error? I got the sense that the email team had reviewed their copy. @DStrine has Fr-tech looked at the copy in Civi to see if anything jumps out? And I apologize if you've already confirmed that it has been looked into, and I missed it.

Just as a reconciliation headsup, some of the fraud getting through to Civi are coming from people testing non-trivial amounts:
May 27 2021
Yes, @Dwisehaupt
+1 Thanks, y'all
I did, this one in particular looks like fraud, though, so maybe the issue affects legit and fraud?
Thanks Evelyn and David.

Thanks, @DStrine, it looks like both cases received the RML in English, despite the Civi language preferences:

Thank you, @CDenes_WMF - Yes, they are translation requests, and waiting to finalize before deployment is totally fine. I know how much volume translation requests entail, so I submit this as a not super-high-priority/time sensitive ask.

Thank you Sam, Thea and Camille. Sam your revised copy looks great.
Thank you @Cstone for making this, and for mentioning in chat that backfilling these refunds should be possible, once the fix is built. cid=48796729 is a recent example we found, if you need any more data please let me know.

Thank you for spinning this off, @DStrine. Between T269372: Civi: Recur fail message sent to donor w/non-failed donation and T260910: Civi: Recur fail message sent to active recurring donor I hear you on the engineering time and troubleshooting this feature has involved, and could still.
Feb 25 2021
got a little more info from the donor:
I Phone mod. MD2971 IP/A
Versione 10.3.4 iOS
Safari
Feb 23 2021
Feb 17 2021
cid=603426 had two active recurring donations, and got the email when one failed.
@SHust is using a different way to tally merges for agents, and this report is working as well (TY for testing, Sandra!) so I will close this Task
Feb 16 2021
Ingenico refunds performed on January 12th, settled on Jan 15th, not in Civi:
Feb 12 2021
Just as an fyi cid=25338264 is unusual in Civi because the currency source looks to have changed for the final donation:
Thank you @Cstone. I'll reach out to the donors and see if they'd like us to restart them.
Feb 11 2021
Thanks, other agents can get results as well, so I'll close this Task
I second @EMartin on standardizing to: Wikimedia 877 600 9454, as it will prevent donors from being confused by their banks if they clip some of the info. Letting the TY email carry more of the load in terms of confirming recurring status, and ensuring that recurring donors know who we are and how to contact us, would be great.
@Eileenmcnaughton I think I figured it out, I was searching for my personal email address cid=26220292, and selecting one of the previous searches for it from the dropdown list in the email address field. If I enter just the email address and don't select a previously saved search, I still get the error message, but I do get the correct search result.
I'm not seeing any results, @Ejegg
