This task is about converging on a single mobile talk page view to reduce the resources required to ensure volunteers can use mobile talk pages in all the ways they expect.

Background

T249579 introduced a set of design changes to mobile talk pages to help:

1. Junior Contributors easily recognize and use talk pages as places to communicate with other volunteers and
2. Senior Contributors assess the level of activity on a talk page and decide where to focus their attention/participate.

In implementing the changes in T249579, we decided [i] to keep the existing Read as wiki page link that appears at the bottom of mobile talk pages in place so that volunteers could continuing using mobile talk pages in the ways they prefer/are used to.

Doing the above comes with a maintenance cost which we are think is worthwhile to take on in the short-term. Although in the long term, provided the changes T249579 introduces have a positive impact, we plan to deprecate the Read as wiki page view to reduce this maintenance burden.
