I updated the table with some context on usage (using the Special:Courses link on each wiki).

Thanks @Elitre !
Thanks for the helpful feedback! We're making some edits!

This page doesn't include Italian Wikiversity:
I've updated some sub tasks to this parent task to flesh out the roadmap of steps we intend to take by June 30, 2018. I am not sure if I have them in the proper hierarchy. I've tried to make clear dependencies, but please change if there is a better way to make that more obvious (I'm not an expert Phabricator user).

@Reedy Just to confirm, are you making it so that no new courses can be created on the extension globally?
I recommend pausing any work on this or unclaiming the task. The extension needs to be depreciated and future education program activities should be captured in the Programs and Events Dashboard

I changed the wiki version to reflect the recommendation of this ticket.
The wiki version lives here and can easily be updated, especially as that tends to be the source text for new versions and translations.

@Theklan I don't have any translation experience to use here, but it sounds like the page has elements that need to be removed or reverted (the {{int:}} template, for instance). I don't know if this breaks the translation or not?
Hi @Theklan I see that the localization for the dashboard is different from Meta translations and causing frustration. I'm sorry to hear that! I also see that you are the first language group to attempt a fully localized experience, not just the core text but also titles/breadcrumbs, etc.

Please don't take any action until there is a proper discussion with the community on the project. Please link to any such conversations as evidence before taking any major actions that could be potentially disruptive.

Alright, glad this has been resolved! Thanks, @Ragesoss this is helpful to know.
Setting as a high priority since we may not be capturing all edits across different languages.

@Pine Thank you!!!

Thanks @Aklapper ! I'm going to revisit the documentation and will ping for a hangout. Now our team has added a few things to our project and sprints, we might have a better idea of where we're struggling and how we can use the tool better :)

Adding team.
Still no decision made. Let's keep this open.
We did an initial walkthrough today!

Hi @Venuslui can you clarify how this task relates to Collab work? If you are documenting local programmatic work, you don't need to log that in Phabricator. You can keep the documentation up-to-date on-wiki instead.

Hello! @SaraMortsell are you still managing this account (even though it's May…)?

@Rfarrand Thanks for the follow up. My only thought on timing is that it may impact travel considerations for participants. I imagine many will be booking travel soon (if they haven't already)? In that sense, sooner may be better to allow people to consider attending this event (ie perhaps arriving a day or two earlier).
Feb 17 2016
I would kindly ask that anyone who will be attending WikiArabia in Amman please add themselves to the Participant List on Meta.
Has any announcement been made for the hackathon attendees? Who can take the lead on that?
Feb 5 2016
Thanks for the clarifications and additional info, @Qgil! Sounds like we can start to announce and socialize this opportunity.

Adding people interested in helping this project from CE and Engineering and Wiki Ed Foundation
Adding people who are managing the project from PC&L
Adding education program leaders who have expressed interest and expertise, especially with tools like the Education Extension

Noting that User:Fjmustak who is based in Ramallah has also offered to set up some sort of technical session at Birzeit University as a possible satellite event to the Jerusalem Hackathon.

Thanks, @Nuria. Is the process you mention quick and easy? I'm just thinking ahead if we need to report some pageview numbers for internal or external reporting. I think we'd like an option to sift through the numbers ourselves, since we don't have a developer or analyst on our team.
Dec 22 2015
Adding my +1 for pageviews on outreach to be reconsidered. @AKoval_WMF puts it better than I can, but it would be a huge help for our team (since it's our home wiki) as well as our colleagues in GLAM and Libraries, I'm sure.

Hi @Vojtech.dostal, @Esh77, and everyone else :)

Problem appears to have resolved itself overnight? Not sure what the root cause was.

Jumping in for the education team. We have many programs that are dependent on the education program extension (however flawed it may be) on over a dozen Wikimedia projects, so I would ask that nothing be removed that would cause the extension to fail. It is unclear what is proposed since I don't have a strong technical background. Could someone explain in plain English what is proposed and how it would impact our extension, as well as the urgency for making any changes?
@SaraMortsell That's fine. I created the sticker files, but the lettering was done by Heather Walls (WMF communications team) and the icon was in the public domain.

My best guesses for guidance and context would be @AndyRussG, @Ragesoss, @awight.
@Vojtech.dostal the WMF education team has no engineering resources, so the extension is really only supported by volunteer contributions at this point in time.

@Reem_Al-Kashif thanks for claiming your task here on Phabricator :)
Thanks for claiming the task, @Reem_Al-Kashif! I'll move it to the "Claimed" column on the Education-Collab workboard
@Reem_Al-Kashif Thanks for claiming your task!
