Raised priority as I personally believe this feature would help with engagement of newcomers, as they could communicate with other users more in real time and not waiting a few hours for each response in a discussion. I will try to get resources within next 2-3 months to see how to get this task completed.

Things I have understood so far:
@Zache Hi, I do not see how DPL can help to tag a page with an event date. Often, it is a day or two before the wiki page was even created. DPL has no knowledge of that.
I appreciate you being verbose about the rule
Fixed sorry and thanks
Done editing, sorry for the noise. Will probably be back on Friday or so.

@Aklapper - there is consensus that was created on wiki to get Page Assessments installed - I require a replacement contact and tool for it is not my personal wish
Closing as fixed. Thank you @Asked42
I tried adding categories. This is messy as the output of a category members is not on one page. Category of 5th of May would be one page and 3rd of May is another page. That's undesirable.
I do not have emial notifications sorted out, sorry. Please do ping me in your reply.
I am requesting information whom I can ping to take further action please.
I anticipate "project" called "eventDate" with an assessment parameter in YYYY-MM-DD format. The special page would show all pages which have the date set. This would help to sort pages by event date and help to prioritise review of pages based on event date.
Hi @MusikAnimal and @Aklapper
Thank you for identifying the reason 😲
Hi @Aklapper and @MusikAnimal
Resolved as I was added to the trusted contributors group and now am able to manage the project. Thanks to Bawolff 😊
Hi @Aklapper I would like to request that you add me to 'Trusted contributors', for purposes of managing the project that was created. If I understood correctly, this is required for me to be able to edit workboard and create subprojects in it. Please let me know if I understood this incorrectly.
Thank you @thcipriani 😊
I believe page assessments are most useful for pages which are not yet archived. There usually is less than 50. After a news is old, it is no longer editable, and page assessment does not matter. Would this help to address the issue?
"The only thing blocking this at the moment is the project description." 😢
I already provided links and a description. "Project tag for volunteers to coordinate development of wiki software, including mediawiki, its extensions, and third party tools, which assist with authoring and revising pages at any language Wikinews, as well as with presenting the output on external social media and content publishing platforms"
wmtran tool https://wmtran.toolforge.org/ code entirely on one page
Ok, I will provide links soon.
Cannot the tags overlap, so some Newsletter tasks get tagged with this tag?
Mainly, I want wiki users to not have to register for yet another account in order to get involved into software development
wmtran tool
Currently discussed on-wiki, so scattered across many wiki pages in many languages. That's an issue.
@Aklapper which ones are already there in addition to ... mailing list, irc, and phab?
hi @01tonythomas , who would you suggest as second maintainer, please? Id be happy to volunteer if initial training is provided. I can commit to two hours weekly. (I ran moodle, mediawiki on vps before, and edited php for gnu savannah package. This was over 5 years ago so workflows may have changed)
@Aklapper , hi, done.
Thanks taavi, I will now search for a steward. I will keep you updated.
Hi @Aklapper @QuimGil @Pppery @Bugreporter @Base could we please reach consensus hereabout
i checked linked patch. lt was rejected because @Qgil asked to add interwiki support. I disagree. Watchlists are local. There is no need in this feature. I would like a confirmation from you please.
@QuimGil What is unmaintained in it? What needs to be fixed?
To see all newsletters available from all wikis looks like a feature request. It is optional, just like I don't need to list all talk pages I can subscribe to. What is the rationale here?
That has a patch proposed already. Is this not going to work?
This worked. Thanks. Will it not require me to do this again, now, like after a reboot and such?
