Thanks for merging. As a note, ca.wikimedia.org also seems to lack a new wordmark logo.

Since this is about every single logo in all our projects, I'm not comfortable with calling this a quarterly goal since we haven't discussed that previously so moving out of board for time being until we can clarify the scope.

@Jdlrobson, @alexhollender_WMF - I see this as a blocker to deployment (marking as a subtask of T309972: [Goal] prepare desktop improvements project for further deployment, since we shouldn't be deploying to projects where we don't yet have the wordmarks updates. In terms of tracking via the epic or T142426: Create wordmarks for all Wikipedia languages, I think T142426 should work fine as well.

I ran a script to check the current status of logos across projects. We have 986 projects. 902 of them are currently without wordmarks. A huge amount of those (just under 50%) came from volunteer contributions.

While some of these projects may be able to reuse existing wordmarks it's still significant work to still identify which of those are). I don't think it's realistic to think we'll be able to update all of those manually ourselves without a change in strategy to how we go about it or a huge time suck on Alex's time.
