This was done, but the patch was re-tagged against T409079: Deploy Temporary accounts to English Wikipedia, so doesn't show as merged here.

Already asked at Wikimedia but maybe it is more appropriate here, so self-quoting:

While discussing the Russian version of rules - is there a timeline for rolling out this mechanics at Russian Wikipedia? Is it going to happen like very soon, by the end of the year, later, or even some precise date?

It just makes me a bit nervous about timing to see here ru-wiki undated - but between two other projects scheduled in just 2 days from now.

Hi @Neolexx. We cannot deploy to Russian WP at the moment because Vector22 is the only skin that currently has additional visual elements needed to tell the temporary account holders about their account name and offer them help links. We are planning with the Web team on this issue and will share an update in the next 2-3 weeks.

Hi @Niharika and thank you for youк info, same day it has been translated and delivered it to others (diff).

As you see I am trying to document something I don't see yet - either at all or its Russian version. From here a few questions below I would like to ask. If there is a more appropriate task for them or a new task must be open - I am ready to follow suggestions.

  1. What exactly the Russian labels will be to click on to activate that temporary-account-viewer (TAV) rights? and on what tab in Preferences?
  2. Is it correct that non-admins have to agree on rules twice: first in some free form when asking for TAV; second (if granted) by clicking in their preferences? - as opposed to admins, who only need to click in preferences.

Is the Russian Wikipedia TA deployment blocked on them using Vector 2010 as the default skin? If so, might be good to edit the ticket to indicate this, and to cross-link to T375046: Enable Vector 2022 in Russian Wikipedia by default.

I am not sure I understand the first question fully, @Neolexx. What is meant by the Russian labels?

Your second assumption is correct. Asking for TAIV is a community governed process. Non-admins have to "apply" for the right (example page from enwiki) and if they are granted the right then they have to opt-in from preferences where they need to agree to the rules for usage.

What exactly the Russian labels will be to click on to activate that temporary-account-viewer (TAV) rights? and on what tab in Preferences?

It's on Special:Preferences#mw-prefsection-personal, tab "Личные данные", right above "Информация об IP-адресах".
